KITE MEDIA WIDENS ITS PRESENCE IN THE EDUCATION MARKET BY PARTNERING WITH LEADING US-BASED DIGITAL LEARNING COMPANY, WERKZ PUBLISHING
London. Monday 13 July 2015 – Kite Media Limited, the media and learning consultancy specialising in video content, has today announced its appointment as agent in Europe for Werkz Publishing, a San Diego-based company specialising in digital products for e-learning in the education and training markets. Headed up by former BBC Worldwide business director Paul Maidment, Kite Media Ltd will look to develop new business for Werkz Publishing through potential tie ups with educational publishers and government ministries, as well as corporations looking to develop in-house digital training programmes.
Through its revolutionary product PageWerkz (www.pagewerkz.com), Werkz Publishing offers clients the ability to convert traditional textbooks, eBooks, magazines, newspapers, and other publications into dynamic digital workbooks with text, images, animations, videos, simulations and/or assessment. PageWerkz products function on tablets and computers, are fully functional offline, and synchronize across platforms.
Mark Salata, Ph.D., CEO of Werkz Publishing commented : ‘PageWerkz is being praised by clients and end-users due to its ability to be dynamic and functional offline, its intuitive design for users, and for having what one user said is ‘an LMS in an e-Book’. Truly, there is nothing on the market like it today.’
Paul Maidment, Director of Kite Media said ‘This is a really innovative and exciting product – primarily for the learning market – but I can see where the corporate sector will also benefit. The design and overall experience is first class, and customers can use the product in an offline environment and still offer feedback or give answers to posed questions to be reviewed by a teacher or line manager. I’m very excited that Kite Media continues to partner with forward looking companies in the education market and I’m delighted that Werkz Publishing have appointed us’.
Mark Salata continued ‘We were looking for an agent in the UK with a European reach who will offer value both in terms of sales and business development but also have input into how we market the PageWerkz platform. Kite Media was an obvious partner and I’m looking forward to generating excitement and sales in the new territories’.
Since launching in January 2015, Kite Media is working with a number of clients across the wider media, learning and corporate landscape, offering strategic guidance and delivering sales growth to customers looking to develop their content-focused businesses. Maidment brings a wealth of experience to the fledgling consultancy. He has hands-on experience in the telecoms, technology and archive video markets including over 20 years at the BBC’s commercial arm, where he headed up BBC Motion Gallery and BBC Worldwide Learning, licensing digital video content to the media industry.
